Chess, DA, and I are headin' out tonight to see the Friends of the Bob & Tom Show tour at the Embassy. Here's the bill, emceed by Donnie Baker (I think Donnie's hilarious (and he has his own Wikipedia page to boot), but why couldn't it be Kristi Lee?):
- ex-cop Mike Armstrong
- Prank caller extraordinare Roy Wood, Jr.
- Flute Man Greg Warren
- And the reason I'm making damn sure I'm seeing this show tonight, the guy who does a better Madden than Madden, Frank Caliendo
Because she is hosting the "twisted" arm of the FotB&TST in Cedar Rapids tomorrow night (2 shows -- the first one sold out in 3 days, so they added a second one).
Dammit! Are you going?
FWIW, I'm pretty sure tonight's show is sold out; I got our tickets at the E on Tuesday and we're in row U of the upper balcony. It's about two rows forward of the back wall of the theatre.
I wish. I have a 4-month old baby at home with a double ear infection. I'll be lucky to get out of the HAZMAT suit this weekend.
You enjoy, though. Don't forget your binoculars.
It is next weekend, not tomorrow night. My bad. The way they have been hypeing it on the radio here, I thought it was imminent.
"Saturday, April 1st - Cedar Rapids, IA
Bob Zany, Drew Hastings, Henry Phillips, Greg Hahn, Nick Griffin and special guest Kristi Lee"
Hope the young'un recovers soon enough for you to catch the show next weekend.
I love Frank Caliendo, but I think on balance I'd rather have your lineup...
