Nemesis Redux

He's been out of college a long time now, but I think Peyton Manning has found his new Florida.

Damn, that was ugly.

I feel bad for him, but then again. . . I don't.

Two words: DEFENSE, and RUNNING.

You need 'em both to win.

Cheers,
Dave

Until the Colts can win enough games that they get home-field advantage and make everybody come to the Hoosierdome, they will not win the Super Bowl. You know how they prepared for the crappy Foxboro weather? They left the doors of their indoor practice facility open all last week!

Edgerrin James and Reggie Wayne both looked like they were freezing their yingyangs off, and I bet James indulged his annual habit of leaving for Miami the minute his season is over (and not returning to Indianapolis until he absolutely has to) by going directly there from Boston and not even flying back to Indy with the team.

For Manning, I'm weird about him. He is by all accounts a decent guy, and you'd have to be completely NFL-ignorant not to acknowlege that he's one of the best QBs around, but since I hold him personally responsible for Michigan having to share the 1997 Mythical National Title with the Cornholers (by rolling over like a bitch dog and letting Nebraska slap UT around in their bowl game), it's hard for me to feel too bad for him.

Well said. Disturbingly so (let go of your Manning anger), but well said.

Fair enough; it's mostly tongue-in-cheek since Manning is such a good guy, and it's a response to those in VolNation - and there are a LOT of them - who still think Charles Woodson stole Manning's Heisman. Or, more correctly, that ESPN/Disney/ABC stole it and gave it to Woodson.
